'Jurassic Park 4' Set for 2015; Will Be Shot in 3D

Universal got a little ahead of themselves by dating Jurassic Park 4 in the summer of 2014, and last month we saw them finally realize that. Despite already beginning location scouting, they decided it was best to put the film on hiatus to iron out some creative differences, with the plan to make it even bigger than before. Now it sounds as if those issues that sparked the delay are beginning to clear up, as we're now learning approximately when the film will arrive.

Comingsoon is attending Licensing Expo down in Las Vegas, and they came across a banner for stating Jurassic Park 4 would hit theaters in 2015. Although, it should be noted that the banner only says 'Jurassic Park', which could mean everything or nothing. Are we talking a possible reboot here, rather than a continuation? The latest version of the script was written by Derek Connelly, which may be totally different from the prior one drafted by Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa (Rise of the Planet of the Apes).

Promo materials also revealed that the film will be shot in 3D, rather than being converted in post, which should make a lot of dino fans extremely happy. It's already the biggest feature in Colin Trevorrow's brief directorial career, so giving him as much time to be familiarized with 3D is definitely a good thing.
