The latest trailer for Red was released today, and if anything it'll confirm that this is NOT the same story that writer Warren Ellis crafted in his graphic novel. I don't really care, since I was more fond of the art in the comic than the story itself. The film version seems like a lot more fun. We're talkin' a machine gun wielding Helen Mirren here! Who the heck wants to take that seriously??
Check out the new trailer for yourself, followed by a recap of the film's synopsis. Red is set to hit theaters on October 15th!
Frank, Joe, Marvin, and Victoria used to be the CIA’s top agents — but the secrets they know just made them the Agency’s top targets. Now framed for assassination, they must use all of their collective cunning, experience and teamwork to stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers and stay alive. To stop the operation, the team embarks on an impossible, cross-country mission to break into the top-secret CIA headquarters, where they will uncover one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.
Red stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Mary Louise Parker, Karl Urban, Richard Dreyfuss, Brian Cox, and Julian McMahon.
