Yogi Bear movie poster UPDATE: Trailer added

Better than your average poster? We're getting the first look at the poster for Yogi Bear, the combo computer animation/live-action film based on the famous Hanna Barbara cartoon. Dan Akroyd and Justin Timberlake are handling the voices of Yogi and his "hetero" lifemate, Boo-Boo.

Anna Faris is Rachel, a documentary filmmaker hoping to use Yogi and Boo-Boo as the subject of her next project. Tom Cavanaugh is Park Ranger Smith, a contant thorn in the bear pair's side, who also happens to be romantically involved with Rachel.

I'm impressed by how dead on they've recreated Yogi. Even the poster looks and feels just like the cartoon series did. While I have no hope that this will be any good at all, it could be worth checking out for the visuals alone. We shall see.

Yogi Bear sets up camp in theaters on December 17th, 2010.

John here. Call me crazy but this movie actually looks like fun. I know no one's nailed the animation/live action mix since Who Framed Roger Rabbit and I'm not saying they hit it on the head here, just that I have a feeling I'll enjoy this more than I care to admit. What do you guys think now that you've seen it in full motion?
