* For as great an actor as he is I've been consistently disappointed by some of Ryan Gosling's film choices. Hopefully that's about to change as Deadline is reporting that George Clooney wants him for the lead role in Farragut North, the film he's hoping to direct based loosely on the 2004 Howard Dean presidential campaign. If signed he'll be joining Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti.
