Trailer Time: Burke and Hare, starring Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis

Quick name the last feature film directed by John Landis. If you guessed 1998's Susan's Plan then you win a fabulous No-Prize! The once prolific director behind such classic comedies as Coming to America, Trading Places, and Animal House is jumping back into the saddle with Burke and Hare, a horror comedy based on the actual 1827 murders committed by William Blake and William Hare. Simon Pegg(Shaun of the Dead) and Andy Serkis(Lord of the Rings trilogy) will play the two murderous Irish immigrants, known for selling the corpses of their victims to be used for dissection.

Burke and Hare stars Pegg, Serkis, Isla Fisher, Jessica Hynes(Spaced), Tom Wilkinson, and Tim Curry. It's due out in theaters on October 29th, but I wouldn't expect much of a theatrical release. A comedy about a pair of rather vicious serial killers is a tough sell. The cast is enough to get me interested, though, especially getting yet another chance to see Pegg and Hynes reunited. I'll definitely be looking to check this out in a few weeks.
