A brand new full-length trailer has been released for Wes Craven's Scream 4, a continuation of the horror franchise he established back in 1996. All the principle cast have returned, including Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette. Along for the ride are a brand new crop of youngsters, including Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and Rory Culkin.
I haven't had a lot of hope for this jumpstart of the series, but this trailer gives me some hope. In particular I like the discussion of the new horror rules, since the game has changed a little bit with this being a relaunch of a popular franchise. In particular, Neve Campbell's character faces all sorts of new complications. Scream 4 is due in theaters on April 15th, 2011. Best to check it out while you can, as The Weinstein Company has been taking the trailer down everywhere!

This is going to be a FUN movie. It's not going to take itself so seriously, Inception-style. It's not going to be cheese, Saw-style. And it's got some good, but not overly-Hollywood actors. I can't wait!
