Will Smith exploits his children further with possible 'Annie' remake

I'm obviously joking. It's perfectly fine for the Fresh Prince and the lovely Mrs. Prince to be creating some sort of Smith family brand by developing projects tailor made for the kiddies. It worked surprisingly well with The Karate Kid last year(over $350M well!), starring Jaden Smith in the role previously occupied by Ralph Macchio. Now Smith is working alongside Sony to possibly remake the musical 'Annie', based on the popular 'Little Orphan Annie' comic strip. No, it won't be Jaden in the title role although that would be an interesting twist on things, it would instead be his 10-year old daughter, Willow. The news comes courtesy of Variety.

Willow, who has made appearances in the Will Smith starring 'I Am Legend' and in Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, is probably best recognized for her hit song, "Whip My Hair". Jay-Z worked with her on that abomination, and she's currently signed to his Roc Nation music label. Jay-Z is currently in talks to assist in developing the film's music.
