1st look at Black Gold, starring Antonio Banderas and Frieda Pinto

If There Will Be Blood didn't quench your appetite to watch men fight over and lust for oil, then maybe Black Gold will do the trick.  Directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud Enemy at the Gates(), it follows "the story of the rivalry between Arabian rulers in the 1930s just as oil is being discovered, and the rise of a young, dynamic leader who unites the various tribes of the desert kingdoms."

Tahar Rahim, who won critical raves for his performance in A Prophet last year(he was also just in The Eagle, starring Channing Tatum) stars as the heroic Prince Auda. Antonio Banderas, Mark Strong(Kick-Ass), and Frieda Pinto(Slumdog Millionaire) also star in this sweeping adaptation of Hans Reusch's novel, The Great Thirst.  We're getting our first look at some images from the film, one of which you can see above featuring Banderas, and the other two of a camel herd in action.
