Sure Shots: Paul Greengrass; Wolfgang Peterson; Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
* We've known for a few weeks that Paul Greengrass was considering a Martin Luther King biopic as his next project. Deadline reports that Greengrass has decided to tackle the film, titled Memphis, based on his own script. Production could start as early as June, so expect casting decisions to start being made quickly. Can somebody get Anthony Mackie's agent on the line?
* It's been nearly five years since Wolfgang Peterson's last movie, and seven years since his last good one(Troy). After missing out on a chance to direct Orson Scott Card's sci-fi epic, Ender's Game, now Deadline notes the director will be tackling an adaptation of Old Man's War, based on the science fiction novel by John Scalzi. The story is of a old warhorse soldier who has his mind transplanted into a younger body and sent to outer space, only to begin questioning his role as a warrior and as a human being.
* Norweigan actress Ingrid Bolsø Berdal(Going Postal) has reportedly been added to the cast of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. BloodyDisgusting(via Bleeding Cool) has the scoop, sent to them by a reader, so excuse me if I take this with some salt. Other sites have picked it up as well, so let's run with it for now. She'll reportedly be portraying a "hardcore killing machine", which I guess is a witch with an even bigger broomstick than usual? She'll join Jeremy Renner, Famke Janssen, and Gemma Arterton in the Tommy Wirkola directed flick.
