My morning: a Starbucks frappucino, a bowl of oatmeal, and a list of Lois Lane rumors a mile long. That's pretty much how it's been the last few days and it isn't likely to let up until somebody actually signs on the dotted line. The Henry Cavill signing has really kicked things into overdrive, with new names getting kicked around every single day.
So far we've
heard Malin Akerman's name mentioned a couple of times, along with
Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, and Rachel McAdams as the primary contenders. Today adds a new name to that list plus an update on the interest level of one of the aforementioned ladies.
Latino Review sites a "reliable source" who claim that Olivia Wilde(
Tron: Legacy
) may have tried out for the role as well. They also confirm the reports of McAdams testing for the part. Wilde has been on fire lately coming off of Tron: Legacy and the upcoming
Cowboys and Aliens, and if you ask me she becomes an immediate frontrunner, even ahead of McAdams and Biel. She's young, has tons of sex appeal, has the look already down pat, and she's got a ton of fanboy heat right now. Warner Brothers would be smart to ride that wave of momentum.
On the other hand, Kristen Stewart is jumping off the Lois Lane wagon before it even leaves the gate. The
Twilight
actress was one of the first names mentioned, and according to The New York Daily News(via
TheImproper.com), Zack Snyder was definitely interested in snagging her, but she's more interested in making smaller films now. Good, that's where she does her best stuff(
