Trailer Time: Arthur, starring Russell Brand and Helen Mirren

The first trailer for the remake of Arthur, the Russell Brand starring comedy about a wealthy but hapless playboy who must choose between the woman he loves and the woman his family wants him to marry. The problem? If he chooses poorly he could lose out on the family fortune. 

Helen Mirren stars as Hobson, his lifelong nanny and guardian of sorts.  Jennifer Garner and Greta Gerwig are the two women he must choose from in order to set the course of his life.

I was not a big fan of the original Arthur, but I've always had a thing about Dudley Moore. My biggest worry about what I'm taking from the trailer is that Brand might be making Arthur too much of a twit, but that's hard to really gauge just from these couple of minutes.   Garner looks like she's having a good time, and Mirren will be solid as ever. I wish we could've gotten more of Gerwig, because I think the combination of her with Brand should make for some hilarious moments. Check out the trailer for Arthur below!

Arthur is directed by Jason Winer(Modern Family), and is due to hit theaters on April 8th 2011!
