Yesterday saw the release of the poster for Bridesmaids, the Judd Apatow produced comedy starring Kristen Wiig, Rose Byrne, Maya Rudolph and a host of other extremely funny ladies. It was a great poster, but now we've got the new trailer for it, and I have to admit I'm not really feelin' it. The film follows Wiig's character's attempts to throw a bachelorette party for her friend, and all the ensuing hi-jinks. Paul Feig(Freaks and Geeks) directed, with Wiig co-writing the script.
I love pretty much everybody involved, especially the underrated Melissa McCarthy, so I hope this turns out funnier than the trailer looks. The R-rating gives me some hope it'll be as raunchy and nasty and as some of the other guy bachelor party flicks we've seen.
