Trailer Time: Girl Walks Into a Bar, starring Carla Gugino and Josh Hartnett

I admire Sebastian Gutierrez's(Elektra Luxx) ambition in producing his upcoming flick, Girl Walks Into a Bar, as an internet-only venture. That means the revenue it earns will be marginal at best, so it's to his credit again that he managed to snag so many big names. Carla Gugino, Josh Hartnett(where the hell's he been?), Danny Devito, Zachary Quinto, Rosario Dawson, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Alexis Bledel and many more star in yet another of Gutierrez's stories about quirky strangers whose lives keep intersecting. Only this time the action takes place primarily in a number of different bars and strip clubs. If you've never seen naked ping-pong, stay tuned.


The film was shot over the course of two weeks last March, and if you think it looks an awful lot like what we've seen of Elektra Luxx, it's because it was inspired by a scene from that movie. Girl Walks Into a Bar will debut on YouTube on March 11th!

PLOT
A dentist teams up with a feisty would-be assassin to put the final touches on the plan to kill his wife. Once he makes a play for the assassin's payment, he unknowingly sets off a chain of events that fuels a cross-town journey through the many lounges, bars, strip clubs and the occasional nudist ping pong club scattered across Los Angeles. Along the way, we are introduced to a series of idiosyncratic characters, from gangsters to exotic dancers, from ex-cons to cops, with the odd hatcheck girl and bartender thrown in for good measure.
