* I could do with 100% less coverage of Charlie Sheen and his "meltdown", but I'm sure it's good for business. His business, that is. Now there's a rumor that his little crazy streak may have landed him a cameo appearance in The Hangover 2, at least according to Badass Digest. Here's the thing: When they wanted Mel Gibson to cameo everyone was up in arms because the guy is a racist douche. But everyone's okay with Sheen appearing, even though he's clearly in need of help and not an acting gig? Whatever. I hope this rumor turns out to be one big lie.
* Jake Gyllenhaal is set to star in the latest cop drama from writer/director David Ayer(SWAT
, Harsh Times
). Titled End of Watch, details on the story are limited. All that is known is that Gyllenhaal will be one of two longtime partners in the police force. Ayer's last film was yet another cop drama, Street Kings
, starring Keanu Reeves. Thanks to Variety for that story. * According to a user over at Whedonesque, Stellan Skarsgard has revealed that he will be reprising his Thor role as Dr. Erik Selvig in The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon. Not much is known about Selvig except that he's a New Mexico scientist who encounters Thor.
