Interview: Jason Eisener of 'Hobo with a Shotgun'

Few have had quite the introduction into big time Hollywood filmmaking than Jason Eisener has. But when you kick off your career with a bloody, cracked out insane piece like Hobo with a Shotgun, "conventional" just isn't going to be part of the playbook. Hobo with a Shotgun, which stars Rutger Hauer(Blind Fury) as..well, a hobo with a shotgun, began as a simple two-minute YouTube trailer. It got so much buzz that Eisener entered it into a contest at SXSW, with the winner seeing their spoof attached to Canadian showing of Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse. The film won, and the rest is history.  A full length feature followed, plus a whole lot of high praise. Has the sudden success gone to Eisener's head? We had a chance to sit down with him and discuss the film, his motivations, and the possibility of more Hobo to come...

Hobo With a Shotgun is now playing, so if you're in the mood for an ultra violent, crazy guilty pleasure, get your butt to a theater now!
