Andrea Riseborough is quickly making a name for herself after roles in Happy Go Lucky and Mark Romanek's Never Let Me Go. Those might have increased her profile to the point where she was a shoe in for something huge, and that just might be Welcome to the Punch, the gritty crime drama starring James Mcavoy and Mark Strong.
The film is described as similar to Michael Mann's Heat, and features Mcavoy as a London detective who sees the return of his arch nemesis, an armed robber named the Red Diesel after a few years away. Riseborough's role is unclear, but I'm betting she winds up as a love interest to Mcavoy in some way.
Shooting is set to begin next month on the 18th.
