1st official look at Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises

How does that one Aimee Mann song go? "No it's not going to stop, til you wise up". Warner Brothers has clearly taken the hint, after scads of set photos spoiled our first looks at some of The Dark Knight Rises most integral characters and scenes. But there was one remaining, and it was possibly the one character shrouded in the most secrecy: Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle.  We've now got our first official look at her, appearing to be in costume, and...is that the Bat-cycle she's riding? What's up with that?

This would certainly seem to indicate that she's on the side of the angels in this film. I'm also not convinced we'll ever hear her referred to as Catwoman. I think expecting Christopher Nolan to follow a traditional trajectory for any of these characters is a mistake.

On a strictly fanboy level I love the image. Hathaway looks hot, the cycle is as cool as it was in the last film. My only complaint is the mask which looks a little cheap and papery, but will likely be touched up on in post-production. 

The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theaters on July 20th 2012.
