Amanda Seyfried and Mark Ruffalo join heist film, Now You See Me

Now You See Me already had a lot going for it. First, it has the coolest high concept idea I've heard all year. A team of the world's greatest illusionists turned bank robbers in a game of cat and mouse against a crack of team FBI agents. I love it. Louis Leterrier(The Transporter), one of my favorites, is at the helm. Boaz Yakin(Fresh, Safe) and newcomer Edward Ricourt wrote the script. Jesse Eisenberg and Melanie Laurent(Beginners) were the first two to sign up, and now two more additions solidify this film as my most anticipated of the coming year.

Variety reports that Mark Ruffalo and Amanda Seyfried have joined the cast, with Ruffalo playing the lead FBI agent in charge of bringing the magicians down. Coincidentally, Ruffalo is set to play The Hulk  in The Avengers, taking over for Ed Norton who played the jade giant in The Incredible Hulk, which Leterrier directed. Seyfried is a master technician who builds contraptions to aid in the heists' illusions.

For Seyfried this is just another leg in what has been an insane few years that has seen her profile rise exponentially. She seems to have suffered no ill effects after the disastrous Red Riding Hood. She'll be featured next opposite Justin Timberlake in Andrew Niccol's sci-fi flick, In Time.
