New clip from Burke and Hare, starring Andy Serkis and Simon Pegg

While Andy Serkis is currently giving what I think is his finest motion capture performance yet in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, on occasion he's been known to do stuff that doesn't require him to have gadgets strapped to his body. Serkis recently starred in the odd black comedy, Burke and Hare, alongside Simon Pegg(Hot Fuzz). Odd because it's based on the Burke and Hare murders, which weren't the least bit funny at all. William Burke and William Hare were two immigrants who murdered as many as 17 people and sold the corpses to be used for research by a Dr. Robert Knox. How is this a comedy?

Burke and Hare released in the UK last year, but is now available in the US through On Demand and at SundanceNow.com. John Landis(Trading Places) directed, making this his first film in over a decade. Isla Fisher, Tom Wilkinson, Jessica Hynes(Pegg's Spaced co-star), Hugh Bonneville, Christopher Lee, and Tim Curry also star. Check out a new clip from the film below, which to me seems to be struggling to find humor in a pretty disgusting practice...

Burke & Hare will have a limited theatrical run starting on September 9th. Thanks to Shocktilyoudrop for the clip!
