Not that this should come as any surprise, but Samuel L. Jackson has finally been confirmed to join Quentin Tarantino's upcoming spaghetti Western, Django Unchained. Not surprising since this'll be the fifth time the two have worked together, and Jackson has basically been figured to be part of the cast since the project was first announced. The two last worked together on 2009's Inglourious Basterds, in which Jackson was the narrator.
Jackson will play Stephen, the house slave and brutal right hand man of an evil slave master. Jamie Foxx will play Django, a freed slave who teams up with a German bounty hunter(Christoph Waltz) to get revenge on plantation owner Calvin Candie(Leonardo DiCaprio) and free his captive wife.
The prolific actor isn't going to have much time to breathe over the course of the next year. He's already shooting his role in next year's The Avengers. Then he'll be hopping on stage in October for a Broadway run of The Mountaintop, in which he'll portray Martin Luther King, Jr. After that wraps up he'll then head to the Django set. The film is set to hit theaters on December 25th 2012. [Variety]
