Trailer Time: 1911, directed by and starring Jackie Chan

For the 100th film in his storied career, Jackie Chan has decided not to just make another Rumble in the Bronx, but instead a film that is actually very important in the history of China. 1911 has the martial arts superstar directing as well as starring in a story celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution, otherwise referred to as the Chinese Revolution, in which rebels rose against the Imperial forces of the Qing Dynasty. The result would ultimately lead to the formation of the Republic of China.

Chan co-directed along with Zhang Li, and the trailer looks a lot like our own war epics in terms of scope. Chan's son, Jaycee Chan, co-stars, along with Joan Chen and Li Bingbing(Snow Flower and the Secret Fan). It'll get a limited theatrical run on October 7th, so keep an eye out for it then. For now check out the trailer...
