For awhile there it looked like we'd finally seen the last of Leatherface and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Platinum Dunes had milked as much out of the worn out horror franchise as possible with the 2003 remake and 2006's less successful follow-up. But in swoops Twisted Pictures(makers of the Saw series), who struck a deal for not just one, but multiple flicks beginning with The Texas Chainsaw Masscre 3D.
Directed by John Luessenhop, who gave us the cool urban heist flick Takers just last year, this one is a sequel to the 1974 original. Who stars in it? Nobody you'll likely care about, with the exception of R&B crooner Trey Songz, Alexandra Daddario(Hall Pass) and Dan Yeager as the infamous Leatherface.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D will hit theaters on October 5th 2012.
