Trailer Time: ParaNorman, featuring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Casey Affleck

I've heard so much about ParaNorman coming out of last summer's San Diego Comic-Con that it's become one of the rare animated films I'm actually looking forward to. Stop-motion animation doesn't generally appeal to me but I found a new love for it after the near perfect adaptation of Coraline a couple of years ago, and with the people behind that film putting their energies into ParaNorman, it gives me more reason to get excited.

Directed by Sam Fell(Flushed Away) and Chris Butler, this Tim Burton-esque horror/comedy follows a misunderstood boy named Norman(Kodi Smit-McPhee) who must come to his town's aid when it's overrun by zombies and other spooks of the night. Casey Affleck, Leslie Mann, Tempest Bledsoe, John Goodman, Anna Kendrick, Elaine Stritch, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse lend their vocal talents to the film, due out on August 17th 2012. Check out the creepy new teaser trailer, with a score backed by Donovan's 'Season of the Witch'.....
