If you're one of those who is anxiously awaiting the release of Disney's John Carter, then this has been a good week for you. Just a couple of days ago we got a new image which showed off the gigantic white apes our hero, played by Taylor Kitsch, will be facing. Now six more new shots courtesy of SFX bring us a couple of new creatures and a space ship of some sort. Oh, and we'll probably get a new trailer next week.
Based largely on the first of Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic Barsoom novels, John Carter is a former Confederate officer who is miraculously transported to Mars, where he is immediately thrust into a conflict between various nations. Directed by Andrew Stantion(Finding Nemo), the film also stars Willem Dafoe, Samantha Morton, Lynn Collins, Mark Strong, Thomas Haden Church, James Purefoy, Dominic West, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, and Ciaran Hinds. Look out for a cameo by Jon Favreau, who had been attached to the film when it was with Paramount.
