While it hasn't been nearly as fun as watching a handful of Snow White films jockeying for position, the dueling Linda Lovelace biopics have been pretty interesting to follow over the last few months. I remain convinced only one will make it into theaters, with one being relegated to DVD Land. My money is squarely on Lovelace, which has the star wattage of Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard as the Deep Throat star and her douchebag husband, Chuck Traynor.
EW has revealed the first look at the duo, with Seyfried sporting a bad wig and Sarsgaard looking like a porno version of Wolverine. Obviously this image comes during one of the few truly happy moments between the characters. The supporting cast includes Juno Temple, Sharon Stone, Wes Bentley, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick and Adam Brody. Another reason why this one has a leg up? James Franco as Hugh Hefner, and Demi Moore as Gloria Steinem. That's a tough act to beat.
Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, who worked with Franco on Howl, are behind the camera for this one.
