A quick scan of the Prometheus images we've seen before show a good deal of the cast looking astonished at....something. It always seems to be off camera, but I really want to know what everybody's gawking at. One thing that has also been readily apparent, it's that the cast, which includes Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, and Michael Fassbender, are tiny fish in a very large ocean. The world around them has been presented as being giant in scope, like the massive stone head we've seen in multiple images already, looming over them like some sort of mad god.
It's a theme Damon Lindelof talks about in a recent story in the LA Times, that of humans being only a small part of the overall scheme of things. Also featured in the story is a new image showcasing Rapace, again mesmerized by something off screen. But a look in the background also reveals what is very clearly a pair of Space Jockeys, the giant aliens discovered in the original Alien and part of the mystery of Prometheus' story. Or as Ridley Scott puts it, these are "Space Jockey suits".
What will we find inside those suits? Could it be...humans? And why are these space jockeys looking so much smaller than the gigantic one we previously saw? The questions will be answered on June 8th!
