Trailer Time: 'High Road', with Lizzy Caplan and Ed Helms

Hey man...y'wanna like...go smoke some bud and go make a movie or sumthin'? I wonder if that's how it went for Matt Walsh when he was putting together High Road, his improvisational stoner comedy featuring an amazing cast of funny people like Lizzy Caplan, Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, and Kyle Gass. Walsh, a founding member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, is probably best known for his character performances in movies like Bad Santa and Role Models, or his television work on offbrand shows like Human Giant or HBO's Hung.

High Road tells the story of Glen "Fitz" Fitzgerald(James Pumphrey), a petty drug dealer who is forced to go on the run after a deal goes south. He and his friend Jimmy run into a seemingly endless stream of trouble caused by increasingly insane characters as they try to find a way out of their mess.

While the film has a stacked line-up, this looks like someone trying to make a really third rate version of Pineapple Express, and none of it appears to be all that funny. Maybe if I got high first? While I go and test out that theory, you can check out the trailer for High Road below, and if you're interested it'll hit VOD and DVD on March 6th....
