Sorry to all of you who hoped the Rihanna rumors were true, but the villain role in Fast & Furious 6 is firmly in Luke Evans' boring ol' hands. After being offered the part just a week ago, Variety reports that talks have officially gotten underway as Evans has cleared up his scheduling conflicts filming Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.
Evans will play the leader of a rival crew attempting to pull off the same overseas heist job as Paul Walker and Vin Diesel's crew. Dwayne Johnson will be back as the federal agent hunting down their team, with Gina Carano (Haywire) as another new face. Michelle Rodriguez is expected to return, along with pretty much everybody else who showed up for Fast Five. Except for that one dead guy buddy of Diesel's character. He probably won't be back. Then again, y'never know....
Evans was most recently seen putting audiences to sleep in The Raven. He also wore a silly outfit in Immortals. Fast & Furious 6 will race into theaters on May 24th 2013.
