It's been a little quiet on the Riddick front for the last few weeks, as Vin Diesel and director David Twohy bring the sci-fi shoot to a close. Now Diesel has taken again to his Facebook to reveal the latest image, which features the shirtless star, with a cut on his forehead but clearly victorious as he holds a defeated alien's head on a stick. Nice.
The third film in the series which began with 2000's Pitch Black, Riddick has the infamous intergalactic criminal stranded on a seemingly lifeless planet, only to be put to the test by alien predators unlike any he's encountered. With no way off the planet, his only chance of escape is to activate an emergency beacon which alerts mercenaries and bounty hunters to his whereabouts. One ship carries a new breed of merc. The other is led by a man with a personal stake in Riddick's capture.
Katee Sackhoff, Karl Urban, Dave Bautista, Bokeem Woodbine, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, and Nolan Funk co-star.
