With Christopher Nolan making it clear The Dark Knight Rises is it for him and the character, Warner Brothers will no doubt be considering what to do next. Nolan's vision of Gotham City will burn long in our memories, so it may be in their best interest to keep it alive through the other characters in the film by the way of spinoffs. In the case of Anne Hathaway, she sounds more than ready to tackle Catwoman again, but only if the conditions are just right.
In an interview with Digital Spy, she had this to say about the possibility of a Catwoman solo film...
Hathaway: "I think it would be lovely to see more of her but only if it's with the right people. She lives in this Gotham City and so it would have to be established by the people who have made this Gotham City. For me, at least."
By "right people" she likely means Nolan, since she was asked specifically about the praise he heaped upon her performance, which included his saying she deserves a shot at a spinoff. I thought Hathaway did a good job, but Catwoman is a complicated character, and as such is hard to pull off in such a crowded ensemble. A solo feature, where her complexities can be further explored, may be the best way to go. Expect anything and everything to be on the table when Warner Brothers starts hashing out what to do next.
