Bruno Gunn to play Brutus in 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'

Is it possible that Lionsgate is just toying with us right now? They know darn well everybody is on pins and needles waiting for them to cast the role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, and after teasing us with a handful of big names a few months ago, so far they've yet to pull the trigger on anybody. Instead we're seeing every peripheral role being filled, and now you can add one more to the list.

Bruno Gioiello, who recently changed his name to Bruno Gunn I'm assuming because it sounds "cool", has landed the role of career Tribute, Brutus. He'll be pairing up with Meta Golding, who yesterday took on the role of fellow District 2 victor, Enobaria. As a pair, Brutus and Enobaria make for two of the more eager competitors in the 75th Hunger Games, known as the Quarter Quell, which brings back previous winners to battle it out one more time. Brutus is one of the older fighters, who won his Hunger Games not long after Haymitch Abernathy(Woody Harrelson).

Gunn is an unfamiliar face to me, which is weird because he's been on a number of TV shows I used to frequent, such as The Office, Oz, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. That tells me his parts were small and not all that memorable. He last appeared on the big screen in the hilariously terrible dance flick, Battlefield America.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters on November 22nd 2013.
