Let the speculation begin, Star Wars geeks. But before you get too deep into the weeds trying to figure out what LucasFilm has up their sleeves, take a little time to celebrate the addition of talented animator, Brenda Chapman, who has lent her skills to some great flicks in the past for both Disney and Pixar. Too bad about that Brave thing, though.

She'll be serving as a consultant on a mystery project LucasFilm is currently developing. With George Lucas "retired", the studio is being run by Kathleen Kennedy, and I'm betting she'd love to put her stamp on the Star Wars universe in some way. Then again, we don't know what this project is, so it could be something original. LucasFilm Animation are the folks behind Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series(the 2003 version is better), and the terrible 2008 feature film that preceded it. Hopefully what Chapman's working on won't have anything to do with those. [PixarPortal]
