So what happens if you kill your future self, anyway? What happens if your future self...kills you? Or let's you live? Do you change? Disappear? Ugh...time travel....brain...hurt! In Looper, Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Joe, a hitman in the present day who kills off victims sent to him from the mafia of the future. The only problem is, they've decided to "close the loop" on him by sending back his future self as the next target. Too bad that guy is Bruce Willis, and he doesn't die so easily.
A new poster has been released as part of the ongoing Looper viral campaign, and it basically gives a hint at what the ramifications of screwing with your own personal timeline can be. In it, we see JGL dissolving into ashes, leaving nothing but Willis behind.
Looper is written and directed by Rian Johnson(Brick, The Brothers Bloom) and co-stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Look for it to hit theaters on September 28th.
