Steve Pink in talks to direct the newly retitled 'About Last Night' remake

Suddenly, Steve Pink is everywhere. The Hot Tub Time Machine director recently took over the gig helming the long-awaited Bad Santa sequel. Now he finds himself in talks to direct a remake of the 1986 dramedy, About Last Night, and featuring a red hot ensemble of up 'n coming stars.

Screen Gems has opted to rename the film Sexual Perversity in Chicago, and before you say "What!!?", recognize that it's the original title of the David Mamet play from which the film was based. It's still a crappy title, but at least there's a reason for it. Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, and Regina Hall star in the story of two singles who begin a turbulent relationship after a one-night stand, despite the objections of their friends. Deadline says Ealy is taking the male lead once occupied by Rob Lowe, with the female lead still up in the air. Hart will play his buddy, the same role James Belushi took on, while Hall is rumored for the female friend, once played by Elizabeth Perkins.

Screen Gems is smart enough to recognize that keeping together so much of the cast from Think Like A Man is going to put a lot of eyes on this project. So don't be surprised if they add someone else from that film to the cast. Fingers crossed for Taraji P. Henson, who practically set the screen on fire in her scenes with Ealy. Pink doesn't make for a very inspiring director, so it may be up to the cast to carry the load. [Deadline]
