New posters for 'Gambit', starring Alan Rickman and Colin Firth

Sorry, X-men fans! Gambit has nothing to do with our favorite ragin' Cajun energy-wieldin' mutant, as much as we might want it to be. Instead, Gambit is a remake of the 1966 crime comedy that starred Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine. In a rare instance of not directing their own script, the Coen Brothers wrote the draft of the newer version, which stars Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, and Cameron Diaz, and as the U.K. release date approaches we're getting a look at a pair of new posters.

Directed by Michael Hoffman(The Last Station), the film has Firth playing a London curator who enlists the help of a Texas rodeo queen(Diaz) to help con the richest man in England(Rickman). The Coens know their way around a crime caper, and I expect the tone to be more The Ladykillers than Blood Simple. Gambit will open in the U.K. on November 23rd, and we'll probably see it here some time early next year.  [Orange]
