Lars Von Trier adds Uma Thurman to 'The Nymphomaniac'

Turns out that if you're a Hollywood director and you promise to make an erotic thriller with real hardcore sex, it's not just going to attract a bunch of porn stars or Lindsay Lohan. Lars Von Trier has had no problem luring some pretty big names to The Nymphomaniac, and now you can add one more willing to get nasty as Uma Thurman has signed on.

Already filming in Germany, the film stars Von Trier favorite Charlotte Gainsbourg(Melancholia) as a woman recounting her sexual history to the bachelor(Stellan Skarsgard) that found her beaten up in an alley. Thurman's role is unclear, but she'll join Shia Labeouf, Connie Nielsen, Stacy Martin, Jamie Bell, and Udo Kier in the film that will be shot in both a hardcore and softcore version.

Thurman hasn't done much worth talking about in a very long time, so this at least has her doing something interesting again. She'll appear next in Gerard Butler's latest awful rom-com, Playing for Keeps, and plays Lois Lane in the raunchy ensemble comedy, Movie 43.[THR]
