Sure Shots: Deborah Ann Woll; Kevin Kline; Jodie Foster

* Anyone remember back when Deborah Ann Woll(True Blood) was supposed to have a role in Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master? Seems like forever ago, doesn't it? Anyway, the fiery and very sexy redhead has landed a role in a film that probably won't do her career any favors. She'll join Zac Efron for the romantic comedy Are We Officially Dating? Written and directed by Tom Gormican, the film sounds pretty terrible, following three NYC buddies who vow to stay single, only to find love shortly thereafter. Blech.  Woll will play the ex-wife of one of the three dudes. She's better than this sounds, and showed flashes of her big screen talent in this summer's Ruby Sparks.[Deadline]

* Kevin Kline is set to play screen legend Errol Flynn in The Last of Robin Hood, a biopic that will cover the actor's relationship with Beverly Aadland, who was 17 at the time she starred with him in Cuban Rebel Girls. Rumors circulated that they had been in a sexual affair since she was 15, though. Susan Sarandon is set to play Beverly's mother, who not only encouraged the relationship but capitalized on it, living vicariously through her daughter and writing a book about it.  Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland(Quinceanera) will direct based on their own screenplay. I'm curious to see who will land the Aadland role, as it sounds like a juicy part perfect for a young actress ready for a break out. [Variety]

* Jodie Foster's last directorial effort, The Beaver, had a lot of buzz thanks to Mel Gibon's chattering puppet performance, but it didn't make a lot of noise in the end. Hopefully her next film will fare much better. She's set to direct the financial world drama Money Monster, which centers on a popular Wall Street TV analyst who is taken hostage on air by a viewer who lost his family's money after following a bad tip. Of course this causes the show's ratings to soar. Alan DiFiore (Grimm) and Jim Kouf (National Treasure) wrote the script. [Variety]
