Between Stand Up Guys, Quartet, and A Late Quartet, I've been knee-deep in movies for the retirement set over the last week. And y'know, it's been a pleasure to know that Hollywood is appealing to this long ignored demo again by making mature and often very funny films starring some of today's most distinguished actors. Whether or not the upcoming comedy Last Vegas can be one of those is unclear right now, but it certainly has the cast to rank right up there with the rest.
We're getting our first image from the film which stars Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline as old buddies who hit the city of sin to celebrate the wedding of the last of their group to get hitched. The Hangover-style hijinks will likely ensue, and a beef develops between Douglas and De Niro over a woman(Mary Steenburgen) they both got the hots for. Dan Fogelman(Crazy Stupid Love) wrote the script, with Jon Turteltaub(National Treasure) directing.
Last Vegas hits the town on December 20th 2013.
