New footage in the latest 'Lincoln' international trailer

One of the things that struck me about Stephen Spielberg's Lincoln was how much more interested people would be in politics if it was like it was back in Abe's time. Politicians were rock stars back then, with big personalities that were constantly on display in contentious and mocking arguments on the floor. While there are still popular and famous members of Congress, we don't get to see the piss 'n vinegar of a good old fashioned beef played out all that often. Oh well.

With our elections just a day away, a new U.K. trailer for Lincoln has been released, featuring some new footage and putting a spotlight on the impressive ensemble which includes Tommy Lee Jones, Lee Pace, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and David Strathairn. Daniel Day-Lewis will get all the accolades, but the supporting players are just as good, trust me.

Lincoln opens in limited released on November 9th....[The Guardian]
