A new trailer for Tom Hooper's musical adaptation of Les Miserables has been released, and unlike the heart-wrenching teaser from a few months ago, this one showcases the voice talents of all of the cast, including Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Eddie Redmayne, and Amanda Seyfried. Even with a few TV spots and the occasional poster, the marketing push has been staggeringly small for a film expected to have Oscar aspirations, so is there something we should be worried about?
Not according to this trailer, as Hooper's decision to record the actors on set rather than in a studio looks and definitely sounds like a wise one. The vocals have an incredible emotion to them, and of course the production design is superb. I'm not quite sure it'll be a Best Picture nominee, but we'll find out in a few weeks when the film opens on Christmas Day. Check out the trailer below....
