Sure Shots: Justin Lin; Amanda Seyfried; Stellan Skarsgard

* Justin Lin may be busy wrapping up Fast and Furious 6, but you wouldn't know it by how many upcoming projects he's finding time to add. Barely a week ago he attached himself to Subdivision, a sci-fi film we don't know squat about. And now he's added Hibernation, a similar genre film from writers Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Will Frank. Again, the plot is being kept under wraps, but it's described as a "dynamic futurist thriller" which means absolutely nothing. [THR]

* The thought of Amanda Seyfried with the wildly overrated Patrick Dempsey makes my stomach twist into knots, but it's something I'll have to get used when the romantic comedy Wonderful Tonight hits. The film stars the two as a couple who have a one-night stand which produces a pregnancy, leading to an ensuing battle over what they expect from one another and themselves. Sounds like a laugh riot, but director Christine Jeffs(Sunshine Cleaning) has proven effective and finding humor in some pretty desperate scenarios, and maybe she can do it again. [Deadline]

* With Lars von Trier's porno flick The Nymphomaniac wrapping up, Stellan Skarsgard is jumping into something a bit more cheery. He'll join Simon Pegg, Christopher Plummer, Marianne Sägebrecht, and Rosamund Pike in Hector and the Search for Happiness, an adaptation of the Francois Lelord novel. Directed by Peter Chelsom, the story centers on an eccentric London psychiatrist(Pegg) who realizes that his patients simply aren't getting any better, so he heads on a globe-trotting journey to find out if happiness truly exists. Skarsgard will play Edward, a rich and jaded banker Hector befriends on a flight to China. [Comingsoon]
