Watch the first four minutes of Jonathan Levine's 'Warm Bodies'

So how exactly does a zombie romance movie work? Well, you aren't going to find out by watching the first four minutes of Warm Bodies, the new undead comedy/romance from Jonathan Levine(50/50), but what you will get is a taste of the film's quirky sense of humor.

In this opening scene you'll be introduced to 'R'(Nicholas Hoult), who only goes by that because he can't remember his full name anymore. In the aftermath of some sort of apocalypse, the world is populated by zombies, who apparently retain some sense of self, which is why they maintain the same jobs and frequent the same places. 'R' is different in that he doesn't just lumber around and eat people, he actually thinks and contemplates his life, or what passes for life to a zombie. We also meet his best friend, 'M'(Rob Corddry). They don't have much to say to one another.

I had the pleasure of checking the film out  few weeks ago, and without going too deep into it I'll say that anyone who enjoyed Seeking a Friend for the End of the World will probably love it.  Co-starring Teresa Palmer, John Malkovich, Dave Franco, and Analeigh Tipton, Warm Bodies opens on February 1st.
