Gone are the cutesy flying monkeys, the yellow brick roads, vibrant rainbows, and in the latest poster for Oz the Great and Powerful stands a dark and foreboding image of Rachel Weisz as Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the West. Cine1 has unveiled the latest one-sheet for Sam Raimi's prequel to The Wizard of Oz, which has James Franco starring as Oscar Diggs, a small-time thief of questionable morals who is swept into the Emerald City where he must convince the inhabitants of his power.
My hope is that we'll see individual posters for the other witches, Mila Kunis as Theodora and Michelle Williams as Glynda the Good Witch. And what about Zach Braff, or Bruce Campbell as Gore the Dark Wizard? I don't think we've seen anything of them yet. Oz the Great and Powerful opens on March 8th 2013.
