Chris Cooper is Norman Osborn in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' sequel

Spider-Man's going to not one, not two, but three potential villains to deal with in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. With Paul Giamatti already set to play the Rhino, and Jamie Foxx as Elektro, THR now reports that the always-reliable Chris Cooper is on board to play Spidey's most notorious enemy, Norman Osborn.

The question now is if he'll be turning green in this film or the next, but it's all but assured we'll be seeing the Green Goblin at some point. Osborn is the father of Peter Parker's old friend, Harry Osborn, who will be played by Dane DeHaan. Norman's company, OsCorp, was seen in the first film and looks to be an even bigger presence this time around. He begins as a mentor of sorts to Peter, but eventually goes crazy and, at least in the comics, is responsible for the death of Gwen Stacy, played in the movies by Emma Stone. Rumors have suggested Stacy will be killed off in a similar manner, and this is a big step in proving those theories correct.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is already filming, and will hit theaters on May 2nd 2014. Is it a good move to have so many villains all in one film?
