Casey Affleck Joins Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar'

With two major films coming up in David Lowery's Ain't Them Bodies Saints and Scott Cooper's Out of the Furnace, Casey Affleck has a tremendous second half of the year ahead of him. It was while doing press for the BAMcinemaFest premiere of 'Saints' that Affleck was asked about what else he might have coming up, and while he didn't mention the Boston Strangler film he's developing, he did reveal a role in something far more exciting.

Affleck told Elle Magazine that he has joined Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, his ambitious sci-fi film that already boasts an incredible cast....

Affleck:  "I've got a movie coming out at Thanksgiving called 'Out Of The Furnace,' and I'm going to work on a Chris Nolan movie in the fall."

Matthew McConaughey is in the lead role, with Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Jessica Chastain, and Bill Irwin co-starring in the story developed by Jonathan Nolan that follows a team of scientists on a heroic interstellar voyage. It's another great addition to the film, and another solid role for Affleck, who like his big brother tends to avoid blockbusters. Interstellar opens on November 7th 2014.
