Starting off his career as a small-time actor, scoring roles in
Dead Bang and a couple of TV shows, Antoni Stutz made the jump to directing with 2001's Traci Lords thriller,
You're Killing Me. After more than a decade away, he makes his return behind the camera with
Rushlights, a southern crime thriller starring Josh Henderson and Haley Webb, along with screen vets Aidan Queen and Beau Bridges. I had a chance to talk with Stutz about returning to directing after all this time; his inspiration for the film; and trying to do something different with the genre.
