New footage in Muse's 'World War Z' trailer; plus clips from the London premiere
Marc Forster and Brad Pitt's World War Z had its London premiere over the weekend, and as expected for a film with such an international scope, it was quite a celebrity spectacle. Part of the event was a live performance from rock band Muse, whose style may not immediately scream "undead warfare", but features on the film's soundtrack and as part of a brand new trailer.
Titled "Isolated System", the haunting piano riff gives an ominous edge to the trailer, which features a good deal of never-before-seen footage. Based on Max Brooks' globe-hopping epistolary novel (and one of my personal favorites), the film stars Pitt as U.N. bureaucrat Gerry Lane, who must travel the world and put a stop to the zombie outbreak that threatens humanity. Mirielle Enos plays his wife, with James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox, and David Morse co-starring.
World War Z opens on June 21st. Check out the trailer below, along with a little footage of Muse's concert at the premiere.
