Potential 'Jurassic Park 4' Plot Details Revealed

Universal wisely put their foot on the brakes in developing Jurassic Park 4, bumping the film from its 2014 perch and setting it for some time in 2015. With Colin Trevorrow making his first jump into a film of this size, shooting in 3D no less, there were too many variables to try and rush it through. Although the script by Rise of the Planet of the Apes scribes Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa promised to be pretty big in dino action, Trevorrow's rewrite was so much bigger that the extra time was necessary to get it all right. And now we may be finding out just what his script could entail, and it's downright crazy. Beware of possible spoilers below....

The guys over at JoBlo say they have the inside scoop on the Jurassic 4 plot, and it involves not only a fully-functioning amusement park, but underwater dinosaurs and helpful velociraptors....

"JURASSIC PARK 4, set in present day Isla Nublar, is now an actual theme park, as originally intended by John Hammond in the first film. It garners 10 million visitors per year and is completely safe – until it’s not. The park itself is described as very Sea World-esque and includes an area called the Isla Nublar Lagoon. That means underwater dino’s for the first time. No indication of what kind, but there’s concept art showing one of the aquatic dino’s, as part of a show, jumping out of the lagoon and eating a strung up great white shark like it was a fish for a dolphin at sea world."

So dinosaurs in Sea World, eh? Yeah, that seems rife for dino-disaster on a massive scale. Everything does eventually go wrong when an intelligent new dinosaur breaks loose, with the velociraptors coming to the rescue to defeat it.  Jaffa and Silver are definitely mining 'Apes' territory with the plot, while also confirming the Isla Nublar setting we were clued in to awhile back. It also could explain why the recently revealed banner only say 'Jurassic Park' and not 'Jurassic Park 4', as it was probably designed to be used within the movie.

Hopefully we'll start hearing about casting the human characters soon. David Oyelowo and Bryce Dallas Howard were being sought before the delay, but that may have all changed. There's plenty of time to figure that out as filming probably won't begin until early next year.
