'Star Wars: Episode VII' Character Details Revealed

The common wisdom in regards to Star Wars: Episode VII is that the story will focus on the next generation of Jedi warriors, most likely the Solo and Skywalker kids. We've also heard that the film could feature a teenage female protagonist, and when Matthew Vaughn was circling the directing job it was rumored he wanted to bring along Chloe Moretz to kick-ass in deep space. With casting getting underway today in the UK, our friends at Bleeding Cool have gotten their hands on a casting sheet with our first real character details....

Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking,

A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.

Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, physically fit

A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and physically fit

Forty something male, physically fit, military type.

Thirtysomething male, intellectual

Seventysomething male, strong opinions and tough.

Assuming this is true, and I tend to believe BC when they say it's "100% confirmed", it does appear that we'll be seeing the story of the Solo and Skywalker kids, but probably not in any way reminiscent of the Star Wars novels. The Solos had three kids, two boys and a girl, while Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker had one son. Seems to fit pretty well, doesn't it? It's possible that the second teen female listed is a family friend, or J.J. Abrams and Michael Arndt have decided to add to the family tree. Most intriguing, at least to me, is the "seventysomething male" role. It's clearly not for Harrison Ford or Mark Hamill, which means it's going to be either a totally new character,  possibly an old Jedi Knight, or an aged-up version of one we already know.
