Domhnall Gleeson Travels Time for Rachel McAdams In New Trailer for 'About Time'

Potential suitors traversing time and space to spend time with Rachel McAdams is nothing new. Eric Bana did it in The Time Traveler's Wife, a film which I'll admit to loving quite a bit. And now Domhnall Gleeson is the latest guy to risk breaking the space-time continuum for her love in About Time.

After an international trailer was released a couple of months ago, a new U.S. version arrives from Richard Curtis, the writer and director of Love Actually. Gleeson plays Tim, a young man who learns from his father (Bill Nighy) that he comes from a family of time travelers. Rather than using his newfound power to fix the world, Tim does what any self-respecting guy would do and goes back in time to win the heart of Mary (Rachel McAdams), until he learns that all of his time-hopping has severe consequences. Some of what gets revealed could be considered spoilery, so those hoping to go in completely cold may want to heed caution. Otherwise this looks like a simple charmer with a nifty twist, and probably more box office gold for Curtis.

About Time hits theaters on November 8th.
